Northbrook History in the Making

We are kicking off the New Year with Northbrook’s Annual State of the Village Address on January 23, 2017.

A big topic for discussion is the potential redevelopment of Green Acres Country Club. As an avid golf lover (and player), I was sad when I heard that this property was listed up for sale. The Green Acres Country Club is one of the largest Northbrook properties up for sale in recent history.

Many developers have pitched their ideas but it remains to be seen on what will actually happen. Village President Sandy Frum addresses this huge development as well as other projects that will be impacting Northbrook’s changing landscape. According to Village President Frum, "There's a long road ahead. What I envision is some sort of process that involved the school districts, the library, the park district, the village and residents of the area, to come up with some kind of plan that makes sense for all of us" (Chicago Tribune).

As a local business owner and a member of the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce, I urge you to join the discussion to understand what is happening and how Northbrook plans to be proactive.
