Northbrook Holds Fourth Annual Celebration Of Cultures
The free family-friendly fair is set for Sunday, Nov. 3 at the North Suburban YMCA.
From the Village of Northbrook: Northbrook, IL — After the success of past three Celebration of Cultures, the Northbrook Community Relations Commission is once again sponsoring a free Celebration of Cultures Faire for Northbrook residents and their friends to experience and appreciate the variety of cultural backgrounds of people living and working in the North Shore. This free, family-friendly faire will be held on Sunday, November 3, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the North Suburban YMCA, 2705 Techny Road, Northbrook.
This year’s Faire includes:
- Free entertainment by local performers including Campanella Choir (https://www.campanellacenter.com/), Chicago Korean Dance Company (http://www.chicagokoreandance.org/) and more!
- Food truck 5411 (Argentinian empanadas) will offer food for sale. Check it out!
- Cultural stations from across the world, including representatives from China, Mexico, India, Persia, Russia, South Korea, and more in the YMCA gym.
- Enjoy a Free Taste! Food at the cultural stations will be available to sample. In addition to displaying artifacts there will opportunities to taste traditional food samples and talk to representatives about their diverse cultures.
- Free children’s activities including the popular Passport Book scavenger hunt will be offered with a special prize for each child that completes the Passport.
