Margaret McNally - a Northbrook mother of ten whose children, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, went on to success in medicine, politics, finance, law, broadcasting and Hollywood - died Wednesday at 85.
Margaret was married to Dr. Randall McNally, a plastic surgeon, for 60 years and according to her son Edward, “recognized that happiness was only the product of meaningful work, devotion to faith, family, community and service to others.”

Among her 10 children, all born within 14 years, is a former executive producer for Oprah Winfrey, an actress who has appeared in “Sons of Anarchy” and “Seinfeld” and three others who went into medicine.
All her children attended Glenbrook North High School.

“With 10 rambunctious children, she kept and maintained a bigger and better house than any of us have been able to do with smaller homes and families,” Edward said. “Her entire house was always put together perfectly, like a model house.”
