Northbrook Obituary: Raymond Hudash, 84

Raymond Hudash, age 84 of Northbrook, IL, passed peacefully to a better life on February 5, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Plunkett Hudash and the late Joan Crist Hudash; loving father of Gail (Bill) Wadley, Bill (Kay) Hudash, Janet Pauley, Raymond, Jr. (Julie) and Ron (Tracy) Hudash; cherished grandfather of 10; brother of Sylvia Siebert and the late Bernice Gliege; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ray was a kind generous man who was a friend to all. He was a very caring husband, father and grandfather and we were blessed to have him in our lives. He graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago, class of 1947, where he was in ROTC and rowed crew. He received the degree Doctor of Optometry at the Chicago College of Optometry in 1950. Dr. Hudash honorably served in the United States Marine Corp from 1951-53 and headed the aerial stereo photographic section for the First Marine Aircraft Wing during the Korean War. He worked at Bell & Howell and owned Vital Image Management, an active member of the Chicagoland Replicar Association, a life-long golfer, and an avid Chicago sports fan.
