The Northbrook Park District’s Flea Market will be back this month with a new fall edition in the heart of downtown Northbrook.

The Autumn Flea Market takes place from 9am to 1pm on Sept. 27 in the parking lot of Village Green Center, 1810 Walters Ave. The event will take place indoors in case of inclement weather.

Last year’s edition, a first for the park district, took place in the parking lot of the Leisure Center, now undergoing construction through spring 2026.

“Our hope in changing the event from summer to fall is that it will be cooler, so everyone, including the vendors, can enjoy a wonderful day in the autumn air at our beautiful Village Green location,” Recreation Manager Nancy Eschker said.

A wide variety of vendors attended last year with goods ranging from children’s games and clothing to sports memorabilia, collectibles and miscellaneous household items. “I bought some beautiful plants that are still going strong despite me having no green thumb!” Eschker said.

Friends Evelyn Delmar and Sara Fenwick will be back as vendors to again sell Fenwick’s dieffenbachia plants, along with items for home, sports, collectibles, records, vintage and antiques, jewelry and more.

“Having a Northbrook Flea Market is a great idea,” Delmar said. “Not only does it give us an opportunity to sell items we don’t need to others who will enjoy them, it gives us a chance to meet others in our community.”

The fee for vendors is $29 for residents $39 for residents, and includes an 8-foot table, two chairs and two marked parking spaces.

Attendance is free for shoppers, who can enjoy free lemonade while browsing.
