Northbrook Police Investigate Home Burglaries

The following reports are from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an admission of guilt.
Home Burglary
The victim reported Oct. 25 offenders attempted to gain entry to his residence in the 2200 block of Castilian Circle. The complainant reported he left his residence for a 20-minute walk. When he returned he found the rear patio door open with the lock broken. The only thing the residence found out of place inside the house were couch pillows found on the floor.
Residential Burglary
Officers responded Oct. 27 to the 1400 block of Woodhill Drive for a report of a residential burglary. The victim reported that when she arrived home she observed the sliding door shattered. The investigation revealed the offenders entered a bedroom and ransacked through the dresser drawers. The victim will supply a list of the property that was stolen at a later date.

Burglary to Vehicle
The victim reported Oct. 27 that offenders entered the unlocked 2014 Chevrolet which was parked in the 1100 block of Butternut Lane. The offender removed the garage door opener and went through the center console.
Jewelry Stolen
Officers responded at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 27 to the burglar alarm at a residence in the 2400 block of Greenwood Road. Responding officers observed the front door had been forced open by the offenders. The officers, in checking the residence, found the offenders had entered the master bedroom and stolen jewelry. The victim will compile a list of the personal property stolen for the investigators at a later date.
