Hydrant Painting Taking Place
This week, the Village’s contractor began painting hydrants in the central part of the community. As part of this process, the contractor sandblasts the hydrant to remove old, worn paint and refinishes it with a new protective coating to prevent rust and damage and ensure the hydrant can operate as intended.

This month, the contractor will be focusing on the area bounded by Dundee Road to the north, Pfingsten Road to the west, Techny Road to the south and the Metra railroad tracks to the east. See a map here. Staff anticipates this work will be completed by Thursday, April 30, weather permitting.
