Northbrook Resident Appointed To Cook County Housing Authority
The appointment comes as the agency, which serves over 25,000 people, marks its 80th anniversary.
NORTHBROOK, IL — The Housing Authority of Cook County recently added three new members to its Board of Commissioners, including Northbrook's Bruce Schiff. With the purpose of providing governance for the agency, the five-year volunteer appointments were approved by the board last month.
According to agency, Schiff is a certified public accountant with experience in the development and financing of affordable housing, including work involving low-income housing tax credits.
Zenobia Johnson-Black and William Little were the other appointees.

HACC said appointments come as the agency marks its 80th anniversary and continues a broader effort to strengthen performance and service to residents. HACC added that the board additions bring experience in housing, finance, public administration and community development.
In the coming months, HACC said it will also welcome a new suburban Cook County resident commissioner to complete all vacant roles and term expirations on the board.
