Northbrook Shopper Buys $600K Winning Ticket At Mariano's: IL Lottery
The Lucky Day Lotto ticket was purchased for Monday's midday drawing, according to lottery officials.
NORTHBROOK, IL — It was quite the grocery shopping trip for an Illinois Lottery player earlier this week. On Monday, a person purchased a winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket, worth $600,000, at a Mariano's in Northbrook.
According to Illinois Lottery, the shopper won the jackpot of the midday draw at the 2323 Capital Drive location. The winning numbers were 16-23-34-36-40.
For selling the winning ticket, the Northbrook Mariano’s will receive a selling bonus of one percent of the prize amount, or $6,000.

Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw in which to claim their prize. Illinois Lottery encourages all lucky winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize.
Lucky Day Lotto, played only in Illinois, features twice daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m.
