Northbrook Swears In New Village Trustee
Dan Pepoon, a 15-year plan commission veteran, was appointed to serve the rest of former Trustee Jason Han's term on the village board.

NORTHBROOK, IL — On Tuesday, January 14, Village President Sandy Frum appointed, with the advice and consent of the Village Board, Daniel H. Pepoon to fill the Northbrook Village Board's trustee vacancy. The seat opened in December when former Trustee Jason Han resigned prior to moving out of the Village.
President Frum and the Board interviewed five applicants to fulfill the remainder of Trustee Han’s term. Dan Pepoon’s experience serving on the Northbrook Senior Housing Commission (1 year), Bicycle Task Force (concurrent with other appointments), and Plan Commission (15 years), in addition to his professional experience, made him an ideal fit for the Village Board.

In addition to his professional experience, Dan gained significant experience coaching while his children were in local sports, including a win in the Northbrook Baseball World Series for eighth graders. In fact, it was that feeling of making a difference that initially brought him to the Village Hall. Dan believes the philosophy of the Village Board should be rooted in ethics with a focus on how best to serve the residents and business owners of Northbrook. He shares the Board’s concerns about affordable housing, diligent use of tax dollars, responsible environmental oversight, and becoming even more bike and pedestrian friendly.
Please welcome Trustee Dan Pepoon to the Northbrook Village Board.
