Northbrook Symphony Orchestra Set To Present Spring Concert

The concert is scheduled for April 30 at the Sheely Center for the Performing Arts.

NORTHBROOK, IL — A spring tradition continues in Northbrook as the 43rd season of the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra rolls on with a special concert. The performance, the third of the season for NSO, will take place at 4 p.m. April 30, at the Sheely Center for the Performing Arts.

Adults and children of all ages are invited to the spring concert, which will feature the talents of world-renowned musician Maestro Robert Chen. Chen has been a featured soloist with Riccardo Muti, DanielBarenboim and Pierre Boulez, among others. He has performed as a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Swedish Radio Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic, and with artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, and Yo-Yo Ma. Chen has held the role of concertmaster of the CSO since 1999 and was named artistic creative partner in the 2021-2022 season.

The production will feaature Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s "D Major Divertimento K136," Franz Schubert’s "A Major Rondo," and Astor Piazzolla’s "Four Seasons," arranged by Leonid Desyatnikov.
