Northbrook Teen Charged With Setting Fire at Crestwood Park

The 18-year-old is facing a felony arson charge in connection with the September incident.

A Northbrook man turned himself in to police on Tuesday in relation to an investigation into a fire set last month behind the tennis courts at Crestwood Park.

James P. Postel, 18, of the 1800 block of Kiest was charged with felony arson.

According to earlier reports, police and fire units in Northbrook responded to the park around 11:17 p.m. on September 26 to a report of a fire behind the tennis court. Upon arrival, officers located the portable toilet and a wood fence that was on fire.
