NORTHBROOK, IL — With 24 years of experience, Greenbriar Elementary School will be soon getting a veteran educator in Dr. Danille Moran. She was appointed the new principal of the Northbrook school, effective July 1, at Tuesday night's Northbrook District 28 board of education meeting.

Moran replaces Dr. Ginny Hiltz, who, after leading Greenbriar for nine years, will be principal of Meadowbrook School.

According to the district, Moran "brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for fostering excellence, equity, and inclusivity." She has worked at Wheaton Warrenville District 200 since 2013 where she was an elementary school principal for seven years and director of elementary instruction for the past five years.
