
Northbrook, IL: November 2023 – Recognizing a year of strategic planning while meeting the developing needs of a community, the North Suburban YMCA held its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 25. The meeting included a year in review highlighting the NSYMCA’s strategic plan and the reappointment of current Board members.
The 2023- 2024 NSYMCA Board of Directors includes Board Chair, Jim Tuchler; Vice Chair, Sal Mano; Vice Chair, Michael Redstone; Treasurer, Anne O’Connor; Secretary, Steven Elisco; At Large, Larry Koehler; At Large, Todd Heller; Other Board Members include Meredith Ade, Johanna Benavides, Andrew Dempsey, Hussein Din, Nathan Margol, Kamal Natarajan, Jerry Nolan, Bill Schloss, Alison Whitlock, and Chinmaya Yerramilli.
“I’m honored to work alongside Kathy Fielding and her amazing staff as we build towards our vision for 2024,” said Jim Tuchler, NSYMCA Board Chair. “Our Y has so much to offer everyone in our community and it remains the best value in the area.”

Also, at the meeting, staff longevity was acknowledged honoring Nancy Gerstein for 25 years of service, Karen Brownlee, Heidi Busch and Suzanne Hagan for 15 years of service, Alex Brodell, Karen Hughes, Dev Kennedy, Ali Margolis, Dan Savino and Melissa Uhlig for 10 years of service and Karen Green for 5 years of services. All honorees received a certificate and pin for their longevity at the Y.
“We are so humbled by the support that our community has given us over the past year,” commented Kathy Fielding, CEO of the North Suburban YMCA. “I’m proud to work with an amazing staff and through our Board of Directors who are constantly striving to make the Y and our community a better place to live and thrive.”
