Overnight Burglaries Reported At Adjoining Businesses: Northbrook PD

The crimes follow a recent trend of commercial burglaries occurring throughout the North Shore, according to police.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Overnight burglaries that occurred earlier this week at adjoining businesses follow a recent uptick in similar crimes across the North Shore, according to Northbrook police. The burglaries were reported between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Waukegan Road.

The Northbrook Police Department said it is working in partnership with surrounding agencies to investigate these incidents.

"We want to remind businesses to remove and/or secure all valuables that are visible and ensure that cash registers are cleared and left open," Police Chief Christopher Kennedy said. "The Northbrook Police Department also provides security assessments to local businesses aimed at improving overall safety. These small steps can help prevent businesses from being targeted."
