Owner Of Northbrook Massage Parlor Accused Of Pimping Staff
An employee told investigators the business owner "required her to perform sex acts on customers," according to the sheriff's office.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The owner of a Northbrook massage parlor faces a prostitution-related felony charge after one of her employees twice agreed to exchange sex for cash with undercover officers, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart announced Friday.
Olga Bondar, 34, of the 7100 block of West 113th Street in Worth, was arrested at her home and charged with promoting prostitution, a class 4 felony, according to the sheriff's office. She appeared in court in Skokie Friday for a bond hearing.
The Northbrook Police Department got a tip about a massage parlor located at 1935 Shermer Road, and the sheriff's office's vice unit began an investigation, authorities said. Northbrook police spokesperson Tom Moore declined to specify when the tip was received or whether there had been previous prostitution-related complaints at the location.

Sheriff's police began conducting surveillance of the business, and investigators "observed several men enter and exit the business," according to the release. On two separate occasions, according to the sheriff's office, a 39-year-old woman agreed to perform sex acts on undercover officers in exchange for money.
On Thursday, investigators returned to the massage parlor and interviewed the woman, who told them Bondar was the owner. Bondar, she said, had "required her to perform sex acts on customers," according to the sheriff's office.

The employee was not charged. Victim advocates from the sheriff's office offered her social services, according to the statement.
There are multiple massage parlors listing business addresses in the office park at 1935 Shermer Road, but Matt Walberg, spokesperson for the sheriff's office, declined to name the offending business.
Bondar, a former Wheeling resident, could not be reached for comment ahead of her bond hearing. According to the February 2016 newsletter from the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce, she has previously been involved in a different Shermer Road massage spa.
According to prosecutors, Bondar admitted owning the massage parlor and knowing that her employees were not licensed masseuses. She was released on a recognizance bond and ordered to turn over her passport by Monday afternoon. Her next court appearance was scheduled for Oct. 9.
