Park District Promotes Eileen Loftus To Director of Leisure Services

Loftus has been with District since 2008 and has been in parks and recreation for a quarter-century.

The Northbrook Park District has named Eileen Loftus, a 7-year employee of the district with more than 25 years of professional park and recreation experience, its new Director of Leisure Services. She will replace Elsa Fischer, who recently accepted a position with the Glenview Park District.

“The idea of managing the entire division is exciting,” said Loftus. “Currently, I manage all of the ice, athletics and aquatics programming with the assistance of a phenomenal staff. I am looking forward to overseeing the entire Division. Our high standards and level of accountability make me proud to be part of this agency.”

Loftus currently serves as Leisure Services Manager for the District. She joined the District in 2008 as Manager of Athletics & Aquatics and was promoted one year later to Leisure Services Manager, where she oversaw operations of the Northbrook Sports Center and Athletics & Aquatics Department.

“Eileen has been an integral part of the District and the Northbrook community for the last seven years,” said Rick Hanetho, executive director of the district. “She has made a substantial impact on the Leisure Services Division, as well as throughout the District.”
