Pedestrian Struck By Train, Northbrook Roads Closed For Hours: Metra
]The Monday night incident closed roads accessing the Shermer Road Metra station for several hours, according to Northbrook police.

NORTHBROOK, IL — A pedestrian was struck by a Metra train Monday night, halting inbound and outbound traffic for several hours. The condition and the identity of the struck person had not been released as of Tuesday morning.
At 6:28 p.m., Metra said Milwaukee District North inbound and outbound train traffic was halted due to train No. 2141 striking a pedestrian. Northbrook police said roads accessing the Metra station at 1401 Shermer Road were closed due to an ongoing investigation.
At 8:03 p.m., police said the roads had been reopened.
