PGA Tour Superstore Preps Northbrook Opening With Upcoming Job Fair

NORTHBROOK, IL — Golfers now have an opening date for a new PGA Tour Superstore coming to Northbrook.

The 30,000-square-foot store at 1072 Willow Road in Willow Festival Shopping Center will officially open Saturday, Oct. 3, with doors opening at 9 a.m., the company announced Tuesday.

Patch first reported in February that the golf retailer had signed a lease for the Northbrook location, with a fall opening anticipated but no specific date announced at the time.

Thousands of dollars in giveaways are planned for the first customers in line on opening day, according to the company.

Eight Simulators, Indoor Putting Green

The Northbrook store will include eight TrackMan-powered simulators for fittings, instruction and practice, along with an 850-square-foot indoor putting green.

Those features were part of the original plans announced earlier this year.

Customers will also have access to custom club fittings, same-day Fit & Go services and club repair.

A dedicated Golf Simulator Showroom will allow golfers to compare launch-monitor and simulator technology from Full Swing, Garmin, Rapsodo, SkyTrak, TrackMan and Uneekor.

“PGA TOUR Superstore is about creating places where everyone can experience the game in their own way,” Chief Customer Officer Rebecca Charles said in a statement.

“Whether someone is picking up a club for the first time, looking to improve their skills, searching for the right equipment or finding apparel that fits their lifestyle, this location is designed to meet golfers wherever they are in their journey.”

The store will also carry men's, women's, and junior golf apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories.

The Northbrook location will join PGA Tour Superstore's existing Illinois stores in Downers Grove, Lincoln Park, Orland Park, Schaumburg and Vernon Hills.

Job Fair Set For Aug. 19-20

Before opening, PGA Tour Superstore will hold a two-day hiring event for the Northbrook location.

The job fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 19 and 20 at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel, 933 Skokie Blvd.

Available positions include golf instructors, club fitters, club repair employees, retail sales associates and logistics workers.

The Northbrook store is part of the company's continued expansion in the Chicago area, which the Chicago Business Journal reported earlier this year is PGA Tour Superstore's largest market nationally.
