
Emergency personnel from several agencies along the North Shore region took part in a public safety training exercise Wednesday in Northbrook.
According to a village of Northbrook news release, the event gave participants an opportunity to assess and improve their preparedness, response and recovery plans.
The exercise concluded a year of training.

“The purpose of the drill, highlighted the necessary interoperability and teamwork required between Police and Fire Departments and additional public and private agencies, such as area hospitals, Flight for Life, the Red Cross and other community partners,” Northbrook Fire Chief Jose Torres said.
