Punched in Face For Driving Forklift Too Close: Cops
A Palatine man is accused of switching price tags in a retail theft scam.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
RETAIL THEFT
The complainant, a store employee in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road, reported that on Nov. 11, two female offenders entered the store, grabbed a quantity of POLO clothing and exited the store without paying the store merchandise. The merchandise is valued at $2,387. The theft was recorded on surveillance video, which was supplied to officers.

STOLEN VEHICLE
The complainant, an owner of a business on Raymond Drive, reported on Nov. 16 that after conducting an inventory of their trailers one trailer was missing, a 2012 Great Dane. It was entered into LEADS as a stolen trailer.

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Tasia Venay Seals, 30, Chicago was stopped at Dundee Rd. and Skokie Blvd. at 11:21 p.m. on Nov. 15 and cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license and no rear registration plate light. Officers observed the defendant’s vehicle and stopped it for an equipment violation.
RETAIL THEFT
Xhafer Aliu, 48, Palatine was charged with retail theft at 5:24 p.m. on Nov. 17 in the 4100 block of Dundee Road. The store loss prevention agent observed the defendant switch price tags on various items. He then paid for the merchandise at the incorrect price and exited the store. The correct total value of the merchandise was $63.93.
BATTERY
Gary L. Rosenston, 49, Waukegan was arrested for battery at 9:32 a.m. on Nov. 18 in the 3600 block of Commercial Ave. The victim reported that he was punched in the mouth by the defendant because the defendant believed the victim had driven a forklift to close to him. A verbal and physical argument between both parties occurred with each party accusing the other of being at fault.
