Residential Burglary Similar To Recent String: Northbrook Police
A vehicle was recovered along with evidence consistent with the South American regional pattern of residential burglaries.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Two men wearing masks and dark clothing burglarized a Northbrook home Saturday night in the 1400 block of Grant Road. Police said evidence recovered at the home indicate the crime is consistent with a South American regional pattern of residential burglaries where offenders are targeting larger homes that are adjacent to wooded areas.
Police responded to the property at around 9:45 p.m. following a report that the two men were walking around the home and looking into windows. While conducting a search of the home's exterior, officers found a broken window. They then saw the two men fleeing on foot before they jumped into a red Toyota 4Runner. The SUV left the area at a high rate of speed. It was later found abandoned in the 400 block of Lee Road. The men fled from the vehicle on foot in an unknown direction.

Police are reminding residents to continue reporting any and all suspicious behavior as part of the department's "See Something, Say Something" initiative.
