Retail Theft Arrests Made at Saks, TJ Maxx: Cops
Wallet reported stolen during car burglary on Redwood Lane.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
RETAIL THEFT
Miller Kazimierz, 65, Chicago was charged with retail theft at TJ Maxx in the 1-100 block of Skokie Hwy. on Feb. 12. The loss prevention agent reported that he had the subject in custody for two separate retail thefts. The complainant, store security reported that the offender stole a toy police car valued at $5.99. On Feb. 9, store security observed the offender steal a shirt valued at $19.99. Officers issued a local ordinance citation for both thefts and the defendant was released at the scene.

Lavell Donnie Malone, 20, Chicago was charged with retail theft at 7:47 p.m. on Feb. 12 at Saks in the 100 block of Skokie Hwy. Officers responded when the store loss prevention observed individuals removing price tags and concealing items. Responding officers arrived and observed two of the subjects matching the description exit the store. The loss prevention agent was able identify one individual, the defendant, and he was taken into custody. The second individual was released at the scene without charges. In checking the defendant, it was learned that the defendant had an active extraditable warrant from Michigan in addition to the Northbrook charges.

A victim in the 1900 block of Redwood Ln. reported that his wallet was stolen from his unlocked 2005 Mercedes while it was parked in front of the residence before 11 a.m. on Feb. 16. The wallet contained several credit cards and approximately $40 in currency.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A victim in the 200 block of Skokie Hwy. reported she was inside the facility between 4-7 p.m. on Feb. 17 visiting a friend. When she returned to her vehicle she found the rear window smashed by an unknown object. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle and the victim did not know the cost to repair the window.
