IDENTITY THEFT
Subin Stretco, 60, Park Ridge was charged with identity theft on July 21. According to the victim, the defendant used a debit card without authorization belonging to the victim and removed more than $2,000 from a bank account.

THEFT
A complainant, an employee of an auto dealership in the 1500 block of Skokie Highway, reported that two registration decals were missing from their vehicle registration sheet book at 11:42 a.m. on July 17.

BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
A complainant in the 3900 block of Commercial Ave. reported discovering a window on one of the work vehicles broken at 6:18 a.m. on July 20. The offenders stole tools and supplies valued around $1,000.
FRAUD
A victim was contacted online regarding an employment position to be a nanny. The person requesting the nanny sent the victim two checks with instructions to cash the checks. The person further instructed the victim to take a portion of the amount and send two checks to names that he supplied her. The victim did as instructed and later was informed by her bank that the initial checks were fraudulent . The victim reported the amount of the loss was approximately $2,000.
DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED
Keum Soon Jim, 58, Chicago was stopped at Dundee and Waukegan roads at 9:44 p.m. on July 21 and cited for allegedly driving while license suspended. Officers stopped the defendant’s vehicle after observing it commit a traffic violation.
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
Offenders spray painted various areas of the park including the sidewalk, parking lot, tree and garbage can in the 1700 block of Techny Rd. sometime before 9:33 a.m. on July 23.
RETAIL THEFT
Darius Michnowicz, 49, Mount Prospect was charged with retail theft at 1:47 p.m. on July 22 in the 800 block of Willow Rd. The defendant was observed by store security walking around the store placing merchandise from the display shelfs into a reusable plastic grocery bag. The defendant exited the store failing to pay for the $183 in merchandise. He was stopped by the store security but left without returning to the store. Officers located the defendant using the information supplied to them by store security. The defendant later came into the police station. He was processed and released after posting bond.
