Shoplifter Fled in a Gold Mercedes: Cops

An offender left a store in the 100 block of Skokie Boulevard around 6:40 p.m. on October 22 without paying for three North Face jackets, according to a police report.

A loss prevention officer reported the incident to police. A witness said the offender left in a “gold colored” Mercedes, northbound through the store’s parking lot.

The amount of loss was unknown at the time police filed the report.

Police did not provide a description of the offender.
