Shopper's Wallet Stolen While Waiting in Line for Food: Cops
Waukegan Road business burglarized overnight.

IDENTITY THEFT
Amadou C. Mbaye, 42, Chicago was charged with identity theft this week. The defendant attempted to make purchases at the Apple store in Northbrook January 2014 using fraudulent credit card information.

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Manuel A. Lima, 40, Chicago was stopped at Huehl and Landwehr roads at 11:11 a.m. on September 4 and cited for driving while license suspended. Officers stopped the defendant’s vehicle for a traffic violation.

BURGLARY
An employee of a business in the 800 block of Waukegan Road reported at 7:53 a.m. on September 5 that when he arrived at work he noticed glass broken next to the door and the door was unlocked. Officers searched the interior of the business and did not locate anyone inside. The cash register and a cabinet below were found open by the employee. The register is emptied at the end of the night by employees so no currency was taken from the register by the offenders.
BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE
A victim in the 2300 block of Castillian reported at 11:37 a.m. on September 8 that a Lenovo Chromebook laptop was taken from her unlocked 2011 Toyota, which was parked on the street in front of her residence.
THEFT
A victim reported that while waiting in line for her food in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road, she remembers two young female subjects in line next to her. One of the women briefly jostled her purse and walked away. Later while at another store the victim realized her wallet was gone. The victim believes the wallet was stolen while she waited in line for food.
