Suspected Shoplifter Found with Flat Tire: Cops
A Libertyville woman is accused of stealing two red tops from a Lake Cook Road business.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
FLEEING/ELUDING
Stefan T. Looper, 19, Madison, Wisc. was charged with battery, fleeing/eluding, reckless driving and improper display of registration at 12:55 p.m. on October 17 in the 1000 block of Willow Road. The 911 Communications received a call that an offender had stolen merchandise and left the store without paying. Responding officers observed the offender’s vehicle driving recklessly through the parking lot in an attempt to escape. A short time later, Northbrook officers located the offender and the vehicle in Glenview with a flat tire. Numerous electronics and tools were found in the car.

RETAIL THEFT
Eleanor E. Sternaman, 27, Libertyville was charged with retail theft at 2:07 p.m. on October 15 in the 1400 block of Lake Cook Road. The store security observed the defendant enter a fitting room with several items of merchandise. As the defendant exited the room, security did not observe the merchandise with the defendant. The security checked the fitting room and found two items but not the remainder of the merchandise. Store security stopped the defendant after she left the store and located two red tops in a bag the defendant was carrying. The items were valued at $99.65. Officers issued a citation and she was released at the scene.

THEFT
A victim on Techny Road reported that an offender stole $80 in United States currency from his unlocked locker while he was at the facility sometime between 4:15-4:45 p.m. on October 15.
SUSPENDED DRIVER
Jesus G. Olascoaga, 46, Chicago was stopped in the 600 block of Dundee Road at 7:15 p.m. on October 20 and was cited for allegedly driving while license suspended. He was stopped for a traffic violation.
Jeffrey J. Duran, 37, Orland Park was stopped at Willow Rd. and Patriot at 8:56 a.m. on October 21 and charged with allegedly driving while suspended. He was stopped for a traffic violation.
Elizabeth Hughes, 63, Winnetka was stopped at Dundee Rd. and Skokie Hwy. at 6:17 p.m. on October 16 following an auto accident and was cited for allegedly driving while suspended.
