NORTHBROOK, IL — Labor Day is just around the corner in Northbrook, and many of us are looking forward to a long weekend celebrating American workers at gatherings or barbecues.

Luckily, most retailers and grocery stores like Trader Joe’s, Target and Mariano's have what you need for any kind of event — but what happens when Labor Day comes and something is missing from your elaborate end-of-summer soiree?

It's almost inevitable that specific condiments, paper plates, charcoal, or a case of beer will be forgotten on Monday, Sept. 5, the official Labor Day holiday.
