UPS Employee Accused of Trying to Steal Packages Filled with iPhones

Police in Northbrook arrested Khalil Harris as he attempted to exit the property on Shermer Road on Tuesday.

NORTHBROOK, IL - An employee at UPS in Northbrook has been charged with felony theft in connection to accusations he tried to leave the property with packages containing iPhones.

Police arrested Khalil J. Harris, 21, of Chicago at 10:41 a.m. on Dec. 6 at the property in the 2500 block of Shermer Road. They were contacted by UPS loss prevention, who reported Harris was stopped at the exit gate with the packages containing the phones.

According to a police report, seven iPhones valued at a total of $5,792 were recovered and felony theft charges have been approved.
