Antisemitic Symbols, Racist Words Found At GBN: Village Of Northbrook
They were discovered Friday beneath a student desk in a classroom at Glenbrook North High School.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Antisemitic symbols and racist words were discovered Friday beneath a student desk in a Glenbrook North High School classroom. According to the Village of Northbrook, school administration shared the information with parents of GBN students later in the day.
Kathryn Ciesla, village president, and the Northbrook Village Board released the following statement regarding the incident:

"The Village Board wants the community to know that hate has no home here in Northbrook. Racism and antisemitism will not be tolerated. The Village Board and staff fully support the high school and will partner with them as needed. Please continue to look out for one another — and remember, if you see something, say something. Speaking up helps keep our schools and community safe, respectful, and inclusive for everyone."
