Village Engineer Will Leave Northbrook for Libertyville

Paul Kendzior’s 15-year tenure as head village engineer in Northbrook will come to an end on October 19 when he begins a new role as director of public works in Libertyville, according to the Northbrook Star.

“He knows Northbrook inside and out,” Northbrook Village Manager Rich Nahrdstadt said. “He’s like an encyclopedia of knowledge of how Northbrook’s put together.”

As for Kendzior’s replacement in Northbrook, Nahrstadt said he’s considering hiring an interim engineering department head while candidates for the permanent job respond to ads in engineering publications.
