Waste Management refuse and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week following July 4.

The Mile-Long Parade starts at Western Avenue and Cherry Lane at 2:30pm on July 4. Many of the streets along the parade route will be closed to ensure a timely kick-off to the parade.

This year additional barricades will be placed at the intersections of all side streets along the parade route from noon to 6pm. Note that these barricades cannot be moved to allow access, aside from Police and Fire vehicles responding to an emergency. These hard closures are to enhance the safety of spectators, residents, and parade participants.

Additionally, “No Parking” zones have been designated around Northbrook to ensure prompt access by our Fire and Police Departments in case of an emergency. Some areas will be completely blocked off to parking, and some streets will only have parking available on one side. “No Parking” cones and signs will be put in place in advance but will not be enforced until July 4.
