Water Main Break on Waukegan Road

Traffic is expected to be snarled through the evening rush hour today as Northbrook public works crews repair a water main at the northeast corner of Waukegan Road and Linden Road, village officials said.

While repairs are taking place, northbround traffic on Waukegan will be reduced to a single lane between Shermer and Walters.

Southbound traffic will not be affected by the lane closure, officials said.

All commuters using this road are asked to reduce speeds and use caution; seek alternate routes if possible to avoid delays.

All commuters also are reminded to refrain from using cellphones in work zones, officials said.
