SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Robert Calderon, 29, 2540 Queensway was stopped in the 2200 block of Greenview Drive at 9:53 p.m. on August 13 and cited for driving while suspended, no insurance and failure to signal.

WARRANT SERVICE
Matthew P. Kramoski, 30, Plainfield was stopped at Willow and Landwehr at 12:35 a.m. on August 14 and taken into custody for warrants for contempt of court (Dupage County) and civil contempt of court (Will).

RETAIL THEFT
Katarina Paukertova, 36, Chicago was charged with retail theft at 9:12 p.m. on August 14 in the 100 block of Skokie Boulevard. Defendant removed $350 merchandise without paying.
THEFT
An officer was flagged down at 6:55 p.m. on August 15 by a woman, who stated while she was in the store, a suspect bumped into her several times and when she confronted him, he walked away. She later discovered her black Calvin Klein wallet missing when she went to pay for her items. The victim advised she contacted her credit card issuers, one of which stated $7,000 in charges were made at the Target in Glenview. Officers responded to Target, where video showed three different males making multiple purchases of gift cards at $1,000 each. Offender #1 appeared to match the description of one of the subjects; with the second subject described as a white male; 506/Thin to medium build; LSW/White floppy hat, black shirt, blue jeans shorts and the third suspect was a white or Hispanic male with a medium build, LSW/Black fedora-type hat, glasses and a black shirt. Subjects captured on video leaving in a vehicle, no direction of travel.
RETAIL THEFT
Slawa D. Wrona, 62, Morton Grove was charged with retail theft at 1:10 p.m. on August 16 in the 800 block of Willow. Defendant attempted to leave the store without paying for $42.37 in merchandise.
FRAUDULENT USE OF CREDIT CARD
A complainant (Company President) in the 3400 block of Dundee Road received a call from his bank regarding a possible fraudulent use of a VISA credit card issued to subject (employee). Complainant advised the card was activated on August 13, with approximately $5,000 charged from August 13 to 15.
RETAIL THEFT
A complainant in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road related that on August 15, a white male entered the store and security camera footage shows him removing eight pairs of Maui Jim glasses, some placed in his pocket. The complainant confirmed her store is missing the eight pairs and that the subject matches the description of an offender in similar thefts at other stores in Gurnee and Vernon Hills. Total loss $2,252.
FRAUDULENT USE OF CREDIT CARD
The complainant, a CEO of a start-up company that buys and sells a variety of products, received a call from a subject claiming to be Dan Foster from Northwest Trading Co. in Palatine. The subject placed an order for 31 microphones to be shipped to Houston, Texas. The total cost including shipping to be $24,309.82. The complainant waited until purchases were authorized through the credit card before shipping overnight. The complainant shipped the property and was contacted the next day advising purchases were fraudulent; approximately a week later she received a call from U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency advising they are conducting an investigation in regards to Dan Foster and are holding onto the property. She was provided a case number by them as she may be able to get shipment back at a later date. An officer will follow-up with the agent handling the case at the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
A complainant in the 1200 block of Wendy Drive related that he and his wife returned to their residence on August 17 and did not discover until the next day that items were missing from the garage. Complainant’s wife walked through the garage and discovered a contractor saw missing. She asked complainant if he had taken it to the residence in Wisconsin which he denied. A further check revealed additional equipment missing along with a Trek bicycle. Stolen items; contractor saw, miter fence, two routers, sander, pressure washer, generator and the bicycle. Total value of property approximately $3,400.
BURGLARY
The complainant, an employee in the 700 block of Skokie, reported that sometime overnight from August 19-20, unknown person(s) had entered the building and removed a Brute 3500 generator. The doors to the building, which is under construction, were supposed to be locked, however when the complainant entered the building in the morning both front and rear doors were unlocked. Total estimated loss is $300.
