Westmoor was one of 17 schools in the state and 297 nationally to receive the 2022 award.

NORTHBROOK, IL — In September, it was announced that Westmoor School was one of just 17 schools in the state and 297 nationally to receive the 2022 National Blue Ribbon School Award as an exemplary high performing school. Now, the elementary school is celebrating the honor.
First, teacher Beth Coughlin, Principal Mary Sturgill and Superintendent Dr. Jason Pearson accepted the award on Nov. 4 during a U.S. Department of Education ceremony in Washington, D.C. The trio returned to the school with an award plaque and flag.
Then, on Monday, students and staff gathered for an all-school assembly.
