Wheeling Man Arrested for DUI After Traffic Violations: Cops

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DUI

Gretchen L. Curth, 26, of the 1000 block of Cedar Lane, was arrested and chargd with driving under the influence and speeding after a July 3 traffic stop.

Police pulled over Curth at around 2:42 a.m. after clocking her speeding while traveling eastbound in the 3000 block of Dundee Road. During the stop, officers determined Curth was under the influence, and she was taken in to custody.

Curth was held on $3,000 bail, and his court date is Aug. 24.

DUI

Federico Ramirez-Vazquez, 29, of the 1300 block of Palm Drive, Wheeling, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content over the legal limit and improper lane use after a July 7 traffic stop.

Ramirez-Vazquez was pulled over at about 1:56 a.m. in the 2600 block of Dundee Road after police claim he committed several traffic violations. During the stop, officers determined Ramirez-Vazquez was under the influence, and he was taken in to custody.

At the station, Ramirez-Vazquez's blood-alcohol content was found to be over the legal limit, which is 0.08. He was held on $1,000 bail, and his court date is Aug. 24.
