Woman Arrested for 'Annoying' Phone Calls: Cops
Clerk at CVS waits 45 minutes to call police after thieves steal skin care products: reports.

RETAIL THEFT
Officers were called to the CVS store in the 900 block of Willow Road at 7:26 p.m. on Dec. 29 for a retail theft. The store employee reported that two offenders removed skin care products from shelves in the aisle and left without paying for the merchandise. The store employee waited 45 minutes before contacting the police. The two offenders entered a white SUV and left the parking lot.

HARASSMENT
Mary Goodman, Deerfield was charged with harassment by telephone at 1:43 p.m. on Dec. 30 in the 1900 block of Cherry Lane. Goodman is alleged to have made numerous annoying phone calls to the business disrupting the day to day activity of the business.

RETAIL THEFT
Dale S. Rice, Deerfield received local ordinance citations for theft and trespass at 2:38 p.m. on Jan. 2 at the Goodwill in the 4100 block of Dundee Road. A store loss prevention agent reported that the defendant left the business without paying for four power cords and some cable. The defendant, according to the store loss prevention agent, paid for some merchandise but hid the power cords and cable in the cart before leaving the store. When the defendant was approached by the store loss prevention agent in the parking lot the defendant abandoned the merchandise in the parking lot and left the scene. The defendant later was contacted by officers and came into the station where he was issued the local ordinance citations.
RETAIL THEFT
Djorgy Leroy, 49, Skokie was charged on a local ordinance violation for retail theft at 3:553 p.m. on Jan. 3 in the at the Saks Off Fifth in the 100 block of Skokie Boulevard. The loss prevention agent for the business reported that he observed the defendant remove a pair of gloves valued at $64.99 and a hat valued at $49.99 from a display shelf and conceal the merchandise under his coat. The defendant then left the store without paying for the merchandise and was stopped by store security in the parking lot.
BURGLARY
A victim in the 2100 block of Washington Drive reported that between 10:45 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. on Jan. 5 offenders broke into her residence and stole jewelry and sterling silver flatware. The victim reported that after returning home she discovered the front door had been forced open using brute force. Detectives are investigating.
