Woman Arrested Next to the Acura She's Accused of Damaging: Cops

DUI
Sergio Garcia, 31, of the 6800 block of South Pulaski Avenue, Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of open alcohol, improper lane use and driving without proof of insurance after an April 3 traffic stop.

Police pulled over Garcia at about 2:08 a.m. after claiming he committed several traffic violations near Dundee Road and Charlemagne Drive, the police report stated. Officers said Garcia appeared to be under the influence, and he was arrested.
His court date is May 12.

THEFT
Two American Standard air-conditioning units were reported stolen April 3 from the north side of a home in the 1300 block of Lee Road, the police report stated.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
Karla P. Duarte, 26, of the 300 block of East Wisconsin Avenue, Lake Forest, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to a vehicle after an April 4 incident.
Police responded to the report at about 3:14 a.m. of a woman damaging a white Acura RDX in a parking lot in the 1300 block of Shermer Road, the police report stated. When officers arrived, Duarte was next to the damaged Acura, and she was arrested, the report added.
Duarte's court date is May 16.
DUI
Heather Jean Fuller, 33, of the 200 block of East Cook Avenue, Libertyville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, driving too fast for conditions and driving without insurance after an April 6 crash.
Police responded to an accident at about 2:37 p.m. at the intersection of Dundee Road and Skokie Highway, the police report stated. While talking to Fuller at the scene, officers said they believed she was under the influence, and they arrested her, the report added.
Fuller's court date is April 29.
THEFT
A representative of Sephora, 1314 Northbrook Court, reported 26 boxes of store merchandise worth $10,000 stolen, the police report stated.
The boxes were scheduled to be picked up April 5 by a hauling company, but a store employee let someone else take the merchandise instead, the report stated. The business discovered the theft when the hauling company arrived later in the day, the report added.
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
The four factory-installed radio speakers of a 1980 MG automobile were reported stolen April 6.
The car had been parked in a building garage in the 1200 block of Rudolph Road since October 2015, the police report stated. The owner told police he had checked on it once during that period, but nothing was missing at the time, the report added.
