Woman Stole Jewelry From Goodwill: Cops
Man bolts Whole Foods after stealing meat products and a cake worth more than $100.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
RETAIL THEFT
The store manager at the Whole Foods in the 800 block of Willow Rd. reported at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 2 that an offender left the store without paying for approximately $147 in meat products and a cake. The offender was confronted outside the store but he proceeded to enter a blue Chevrolet and leave the parking lot. He was described as a male in his 60s wearing a white polo shirt.
RETAIL THEFT
Rosa Amelia Rios De Penuela, 52, Wheeling was charged with retail theft at 5:17 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the Goodwill in the 4100 block of Dundee Road. The store loss prevention agent observed the defendant conceal merchandise in a shopping cart. The defendant paid for several items of merchandise at the checkout counter but failed to pay for the merchandise hidden in the cart. As she exited the store the defendant was stopped by the store security. Recovered by the loss prevention agent were items of jewelry and a wallet having a value of $46.37.

BURGLARY
A resident in the 1900 block of Willow Road reported at 6:59 a.m. on Sept. 6 that offenders cut the padlock off the locking mechanism of a landscaping trailer and removed several pieces of equipment. The items reported stolen included a Stihl hedge trimmer, Tanaka hedge trimmer and a Stihl line trimmer.
THEFT
An employee at the Highland Bakery in the 2300 block of Shermer Road reported at 1:34 a.m. on Sept. 8 that when he arrived at work he placed his Iphone in his personal locker in the men’s locker room and secured it with a combination lock. At the end of his work day he returned to the locker room and found the combination lock had been removed and the Iphone stolen from the locker.
