Wood Oaks Student Faints During Morning Assembly

NORTHBROOK, IL - A student at Wood Oaks Junior High in Northbrook fainted during a Friday morning assembly and other students reported feeling ill as well.

Several students were treated in the school's nurses office after the assembly, according to a memo from the village of Northbrook.

Paramedics from the Northbrook Fire Department responded and confirmed there are "no building or environmental issues" that caused the episode, according to the memo. At this time, it is believed the students who fell ill did so as a result over being overheated and feeling anxious after the one student fainted.
