10th Annual Lakeview East Festival of the Arts closes summer season
Cooler weather doesn't mean summer fun is over. The 10th Annual Lakeview East Festival of the Arts keeps the fun going.
The 10th Annual Lakeview East Festival of the Arts extends summer sun for one more weekend when it kicks-off a fun weekend September 13 and 14. This year’s event features more than 150 juried artists, a 3D mapping building projection, outdoor concerts and a traditional English Garden Oasis.
The juried art gallery includes artists in mediums from photography, printmaking, mixed media, ceramics, clay, collage, fiber, glass, sculpture and furniture. Guests visit the artists’ booths will hear eclectic music curated by WXRT’s Richard Milne. Both the Main Stage and the Garden Stage start at 11:00 a.m. The Garden Stage runs through early evening, while the Main Stage features a later performance on Saturday evening.
Patch Landscaping will turn Broadway Avenue, from Roscoe and Hawthorne Streets, into a traditional English Garden. Filled with activities like an croquet games and the MadHatter’s Tea Party, the English Garden is perfect for families.

For those who can’t wait until Saturday to enjoy the festival, there is an anniversary kick-off party on Friday, September 12 from 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
