Bizarre Road Rage Battle Caught on Video

North Side street fight ends with one driver arrested.

Two drivers locked bumpers on a Chicago street last week in a road-rage battle featuring jump kicks, punches and a demolition derby as passersby watched. DNAinfo Chicago obtained surveillance video of the scene on March 16 at about 1:30 p.m. on West Morse Avenue. The drivers had earlier knocked bumpers at Devon Avenue and Sheridan Road.

Martin Vigil, 48, driving a 1997 Audi A4, faces charges of misdemeanor assault, leaving the scene of an accident, criminal damage to property and a minor traffic infraction, reports DNAinfo.

“Everything you’ve been told is a lie. That’s all I can tell you,” Vigil told reporter Benjamin Woodard. “I called 911. He punched out my windows. He was trying to kill me. I was defending myself.”
