Body Part Found In Chicago River

The police marine unit found the body part in the Avondale neighborhood, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — Police found a body part in the Chicago River on the North Side Sunday afternoon, authorities said. The marine unit was on scene in the 2200 block of West Diversey Avenue in Avondale just after 3 p.m., police said. The body part will be sent to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office to determine whether it's human, police said.
