Crash That Killed 2-Year-Old Boy Still Under Investigation
Police are looking for witnesses and people with information concerning Sunday's accident in Portage Park.

CHICAGO, IL — Police are asking the public for information regarding the ongoing investigation of a traffic accident Sunday in the Porage Park neighborhood that killed a 2-year-old boy.
At about 4:11 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, a vehicle turning southbound on Central Avenue from Giddings Street hit the boy, Noah Katz, and his 39-year-old mother as they were walking in the crosswalk, according to Chicago police.
Noah was pronounced dead at the scene. The mother suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and she was treated at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, police said.

Alexander Vasquez, the 48-year-old driver of the vehicle that hit the mother and son, was cited by police for traffic violations, including failure to reduce speed and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Police are still looking for witnesses, video of the incident and any additional information concerning the accident. Anyone who can help investigators should call the Major Accident Investigation Unit at 312-745-4521.
