Please come out to Atlanta to show support for Chicago Chef Jove T. Hubbard. Chef Jove will be competing in The Signature Plated Dessert at Pastry Live on Monday-August 26th.
Executive Pastry Chef Jove Hubbard oversees the dessert program at David Burke’s Primehouse, a modern American steakhouse, and The James Chicago hotel. He manages the pastry team and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pastry production.
Chef Hubbard began his culinary career while apprenticing for culinary arts at The Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee as part of his curriculum at the American Culinary Federation Educational Institute in Arkansas. Chef Hubbard was sent to the Pastry department to fulfill a small portion of his apprenticeship program and realized his passion, never returning to the savory side. After graduating from the American Culinary Federation culinary apprenticeship, he went on to study baking and Pastry Arts at The California Culinary Academy in San Francisco.

Pastry chefs from restaurants across the nation will create and present eight plates of just one dessert that best represents their signature culinary style. Not only will these talented chefs be featured, but the restaurants they represent will also be highlighted and promoted. Competitors have the chance to incorporate sponsor ingredients into the production of their desserts, furthering networking between themselves and our sponsors. The competition takes place on Monday August 26th. The winning dessert will be recognized as being the nation’s best dessert.
