Lane Tech Football Player's Condition Improving
After suffering a brain injury on the field, Lane Tech College Prep football player's condition is improving.

A Lane Tech College Prep football player who suffered a brain injury on the field in early October is no longer in critical condition, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Drew Williams remains in a coma, but his family told WGN that he has been taken off the critical condition list at Christ Medical Center.
In a post on Williams' recovery fund Website, his sister, Andrea Williams, said, “His life is no longer threatened by brain swelling.”

“We read every card and message to him which we believe gives him inner strength as he prepares for this marathon we call recovery,” she wrote.
Donations toward Williams’ medical expenses have totaled to $45,922, almost half of the donation goal.
