Man Beaten By Group Of Men On North Side

An argument between two men ended with one being beaten by a group on Halsted, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — What started as an argument between two men turned into a group beating in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, police said. The fight happened in the 3200 block of North Halsted Street early Saturday morning, according to police. Suspects drove off in two vehicles, police said.

Witnesses reported two men arguing around 3:40 a.m., and said one man hit the other. Three men joined the fight and hit a man after he fell to the ground, witnesses told police.

A man, 41, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. According to a Chicago Tribune report, the man was guarded at the medical center.
