NewCity Retail Tenants Hiring 1,200

Clybourn Corridor mixed-use development holding job fair July 18 for entertainment, restaurant and retail tenants.

NewCity, the new mixed-use development scheduled to open this fall at the intersection of Clybourn Avenue and Halsted Street, is hosting a job fair from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 18.

The job fair will be held at CICS Chicago Quest School, across the street from the development at 1442 N. Ogden Ave. (off of Clybourn, between Halsted and Larrabee, and close proximity to the North/Clybourn Red Line stop).

The Clybourn Corridor development anticipates hiring more than 1,200 employees for its entertainment, restaurant and retail tenants. The job runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

NewCity is described as a “lively ‘neighborhood within a neighborhood’ on an 8.5-acre site, combining a unique retail, dining, entertainment, residential living and medical office space. The 360,000 square feet of retail space will feature an upscale grocer and first-to-market entertainment and restaurant concepts.

The development includes a one-acre landscaped plaza, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, 1,000-space public parking garage and valet service. The 200 rental unit residential tower offers 16 levels with floor plans for every lifestyle. The project also includes 30,000 square feet of medical space.
