Northcenter Chamber Veteran's Day Ceremony

Chamber celebrates
the service of all U.S. Military Veteran’s



 



Northcenter, Chicago – The Northcenter Chamber of Commerce will
be having it’s Veteran’s Day ceremony Monday November 11, 2013 at 11:00am.  It will be held in the Northcenter Town
Square, 4100 N Damen.

The event is to commemorate those who’ve served in all
branches of the Armed services for the United States: past, present and future.  This United States Holiday is recognized as
the mark of the anniversary of the end of World War I.  A time when major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the
11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect

In attendance will be local political figures Alderman Ameya
Pawar, Cook County Commissioner John Fritchey, State Representative Greg Harris and others.  The many fine
military people of the Tattler Post #973 American Legion and other local
military personnel will be in uniform to salute their Country’s flag
proudly.  The Color Guard of Lakeview High
School’s  JROTC will be presenting their
colors and will render honors when the National Anthem is played.



 



New this year is local singer, CarolAnn Jones, who will be
performing the National Anthem acapella.



 



The Northcenter Chamber of Commerce graciously honors those
who’ve served in the military on this commemorative date of Monday, November
11, 2013.  This is among the many events
the Chamber holds to respect and uphold the values of the Northcenter
neighborhood, its businesses and the community as a whole.
