Democracy is hard, because it demands an engaged citizenry – and with so many pressures in our lives, it’s easy to let that engagement
slide. Yet without that engagement, we get a broken political system filled with people determined to prove... just that. Every primary challenge reminds incumbents that they hold that seat by the grace of the
voters; every hard-fought General Election challenge gives us a chance to
switch a seat from red to blue, with the hope that it moves our progressive
ideals just a little bit forward.
Our next meeting is next Tuesday, November 12th, we’ll hear from:
· MORE candidates running for the 40th state rep seat: Bart Goldberg, Wendy Jo Harmston, and Jaime Andrade, Jr. (invited). Then a discussion of all six (or seven) candidates and endorsement vote!
